H&R Block has done my taxes for about 17 years, but this year failed to disclose that they no longer take the preparation fee out of (my) returns. I didn't find out until I came back in to sign the forms, and the fee was more than I had handy or had planned for-- causing me to have to file for an extension. When I had the H&R Block in Walker, MN, do my taxes I was always confident that I was getting expert advice and service, but since moving to Bemidji I have been unimpressed with the dismal level of customer service and the lack of communication. I will be looking for a new tax preparer.
Although a friendly place, this establishment wrongly did my taxes for four consecutive years. This resluted in my being required to pay nearly 10,000 dollars in back-taxes. I hire H&R Block to do my taxes precisely so that I do not have to worry about it myself. For this reason, I cannot recommend this place to anyone and would encourage you to look elsewhere for your tax needs.
Made an appointment online and showed up ten minutes before my appointment, after 40 minutes of waiting (after the time of my scheduled appointment) I have still yet to see an agent. Extremely unprofessional.
